Jonathan Klopsteins

CEO/Director/Shareholder

Jonathan worked as a Senior Design Engineer for V8 engines with Holden for 6 years prior to becoming a Director of Roaring Forties and Automotive Performance Solutions. His experience covers many areas of Automotive Engineering from engine design and development to the integration of components for production, reliability and warranty issues for current and forward model V8 engines. Jonathan was contracted to Tickford as Senior Project Engineer coordinating the 5.6lt V8 engine design & development program for 1.5 years, later working with Toyota as Program Manager of a Toyota Special Vehicle durability testing and mileage accumulation programs, as well as Design and Development Engineer on Toyota “Sportivo” show car turbocharged engine. He has also worked as Design and Development Engineer with the Australian ARMY on their 6 wheel drive “burnout” show vehicle and recruitment tool, “Armygeddon”.

As CEO of Roaring Forties, Jonathan is responsible for general management of the company including customer resource management, advertising and marketing, human resources, plant maintenance and development, production processes, IT systems and administration systems.

 

Paul Bottomley

Chief Engineer/Shareholder

Paul worked as Family II Engine, Motor sport and Cylinder Head Senior Design Engineer at Holden for 6 years before becoming a Director of Roaring Forties and Automotive Performance Solutions. He was responsible for engine hardware design & development, integration of components into production, reliability and warranty issues for current and forward model 4 cylinder engines, including supercharging and turbo charging applications. Paul also worked as an Engineering & Technical Consultant for “Cast Alloy South Australia” on aluminium components supplied to GM for HFV6 projects, both in Australia and the USA as well as being involved as the Design and Development Engineer on New Elfin MS8 steering and suspension components. Paul was contracted as the Design and Development Engineer on Holden “Torana” show car brake, steering and suspension components. He is also a VASS signatory (Vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme -Vicroads & DOTaRS).

As Chief Engineer at Roaring Forties, Paul is responsible for most engineering design and development, production schedules of parts and assemblies, parts procurement, customer liaison during and after vehicle build, as well as the national customer support network.
